Julio was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, to his two parents, Julio Aguirre and Zoila Barahona on December 7th, 1974. He moved to America when he was 12 years old where he grew up in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Julio was a loving friend, family member, and most importantly, father. His biggest pride and joy in this world were his two sons, Nick and Tyler Barahona. His love and support for his family and sons could be recognized from anyone who knew him and he was the epitome of everything a father should be. There wasn't one game, celebration, or event that he wouldn't be at for his sons.

Julio enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones, watching funny movies, catching the latest sports matches and eating good food always. Full of light and positivity, you could always catch him with a smile on his face and most likely cracking a joke that was somehow always funny. He was a joyful man.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Barahona; his sons, Tyler Barahona and Nick Barahona; lifelong best friend and mother of his first born, Heydi Baptista; his parents, Zoila Barahona, San Bonilla and Julio Aguirre; his brothers, Victor, Alex and David Barahona; and his beloved nephews and nieces.

Julio's presence will be dearly missed but his love and memory will be remembered and carried through us forever and ever.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church , 1006 Larch Ave Takoma Park, MD 20912 on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 9:00am to 11:00am.

A funeral mass will directly follow the visitation and will be held at the same location: Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church , 1006 Larch Ave Takoma Park, MD 20912 on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 11:00am to 12:00pm .

The burial service will directly follow the funeral mass and will be held at George Washington Cemetery, 9500 Riggs Road Adelphi, MD 20873 on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 12:30pm-2:00pm.
